Most clothes are designed to survive a season. They photograph well, they arrive quickly, and by the second winter the seams have gone soft and the colour has given up.
We pick against a different test.
The test is year three
Not how a piece looks on a rail. Not how it photographs in week one. How it looks and holds after three years of being actually worn — pulled on in a hurry, washed too often, sat in, rained on, shoved in a bag.
That single question rules out a great deal. Most of what is fashionable, because trend-led cuts stop making sense by year two. Nearly all of what is cheap, because the failure is always the same and always early — the seams, then the shape, then the colour. And anything that only works in one specific outfit, which is a piece you own rather than a piece you wear.
What is left is a smaller range than most stores carry. That is the point, not an apology.
What we actually do
We are not a mill and we do not pretend to be. We do not have a founding year worth putting on a wall, or a family workshop, or a heritage we inherited.
What we do is choose. Our pieces are made by manufacturing partners outside the United States and ship directly from their facilities, which is why delivery takes 7 to 13 business days rather than two. We would rather tell you that on the About page than bury it in a policy.
The work is in what we say no to.
Men's only
We make menswear. Not menswear alongside womenswear, not menswear as a section. It is the whole store, and it is what keeps the range coherent — coats, jackets, blazers, knitwear, cardigans, quarter zips and hoodies, chosen to be worn with each other.
Outerwear that goes over a knit. Knits that go under a coat. We stay in muted colours and at one level of formality for the same reason: nothing here should need a whole separate wardrobe built around it.
What you can hold us to
- Sizing that behaves. Our sizes run true to standard sizing — if you usually wear a large, take the large. If you are between two sizes, take the larger one.
- Thirty days to change your mind, from the day it arrives, on anything unworn with tags.
- Free shipping across the US, on every order, with no minimum and no threshold to hit.
- Delivery times stated up front. One to three business days to process, then seven to thirteen in transit. Tracking is emailed the moment your order leaves.
Nothing here is filler
New pieces arrive when they pass the test, not on a schedule. We do not run weekly drops to manufacture a reason for you to come back, and we do not pad the range out to look larger than it is.
